Now... in real life, I'm all for finding efficiency and the trying to find the easiest and most effective ways of doing things... but for some things, I just can't be bothered keeping up to maxmise things. STEEM is a big case in point....I do have a pretty analytic mind due to a background of Mathematics and Physics... so, it isn't for lack of understanding of how the economic game theory stacks up... perhaps it is a matter of size of stake... if a efficiency of a percentage point here or there was actually worth more than a few cents... maybe I would bother!
... under #oldsteem regime, I knew there were ways that I should play the curation and rewards/bidbots game... however, in general, I just couldn't be bothered. I voted when I read a post instead of waiting for the 15 minute... I followed curation trails and had my vote diluted like crazy... I delegated to some projects that would vote for me, others because I liked what they represented and still others for a direct return. I posted generally when I finished writing a post instead of waiting for the best time... I wrote about things that I wanted to write about rather than the hot topic of the day.... and I would bid-bot when I had something that I thought was decent.
... anyway, under #newsteem... nothing much has changed. It hasn't really taken a huge economic earthquake for me to discover I was really a good person being held back by bad economic incentives. In fact, I'm probably as lazy as ever... I vote when I see and read a post... I still follow curation trails and have my vote (and rewards) diluted like crazy... and I still post at all the wrong times and on all the wrong topics!
That said... I did suddenly think about something earlier this week (which I'm probably the last person on the STEEM blockchain to realise...)... which was that the changed economic conditions would probably mean that some projects that I was delegating to were suddenly un-viable!... so I went through my delegations... and lo and behold, there were quite a few projects that seemed to have died whilst I was off in la la land!
So, I've retracted a bunch of delegations... with the advice that if you are a large (in proportion to your stake!) delegator... maybe it is a good time to double check that the projects that you are supporting are still alive. Nothing to do with that dirty ROI word... but do they actually have a heartbeat anymore!
Don't be a stupid arse like @bengy!
Coin Tracking
Looking for a quick and easy way to keep track of your cryptocurrencies? Coin Tracking offers a free service that includes manual tracking or automatic tracking via APIs to exchanges, allowing you to easily track and declare your cryptocurrencies for taxation reports. Coin Tracking can easily prepare tax information sheets that are catered to each countries individual taxation requirements (capital gains, asset taxation, FIFO). Best to declare legally and not be caught out when your crypto moons and you are faced with an unexpected taxation bill (unless you are hyper secure and never attach any crypto with traceable personal information, good luck with that!).
Keep Your Crypto Holdings Safe with Ledger
Ledger is one of the leading providers of hardware wallets with the Ledger Nano S being one of the most popular choices for protecting your crypto currencies. Leaving your holdings on a crypto exchange means that you don’t actually own the digital assets, instead you are given an IOU that may or may not be honoured when you call upon it. Software and web based wallets have their weakness in your own personal online security, with your private keys being vulnerable in transit or whilst being stored upon your computer. Paper wallets are incredibly tiresome and still vulnerable to digital attacks (in transit) and are also open to real world attacks (such as theft/photography).
Supporting a wide range of top tokens and coins, the Ledger hardware wallet ensures that your private keys are secure and not exposed to either real world or digital actors. Finding a happy medium of security and usability, Ledger is the leading company in providing safe and secure access to your tokenised future!

Oh my gosh... I just read your SECI reports! I am laughing so hard... but it is true...
once Trending is cleared from all old postings, currently 2 still up there, there will be a new review
I never looked at trending... even under the new conditions. I figure I can do without the horror.... it is better now though... in a different sort of way...
Hah, I read and vote the same way. If l like it, I vote on it and comment on it (I like to comment with my votes). If I don't like it, I move on. If I get rewarded somehow, yay, I'm happy. If I dont... I move on. I like seeing what people are doing, finding new recipes, looking at art and such. I'll do it anyway.
And it's fun to do with a buddy and a beer. :)

Exactly... it is too tiring to play the game!
Oops steemit newbie sorry, I meant to post this here:
@bengy hi it's buwaytress here (same username on bitcointalk) and I'm told you're also interested in the DigiPiglet trust chain. Let me know how to get in touch! a PM there? or my email (same user, on ya h00).
I'll get hold of you on Bitcointalk.
I also stopped a lot of mine. I prefer to be in control of my SP. If I stop using Steem, but want to earn, I will delegate. It may take some time for consensus om how and what to delegate.
I personally think that the difference in my own personal vote is not so much one way or another... so it is better residing in a community account where it will make a difference for small communities... or for a daily vote like qurator. I think for you it is different, you have more stake than I do!
Another issue with delegating is you lose the curation. That's why I also vote for the curation initiative posts, too. The best advice I can give is to avoid spreading your vote too thinly. I recommend voting at a % that means about 500 SP will be voting.
I'm not sure who I've delegated to, I believe I did some to
Qurator, and possibly Curie.
How would I go about looking this up @bengy?
(Post upvoted btw) ☺
Steemworld.... here use this (and then you can see the delegation tab)

QUite a few changes those were so quite a good idea to adapt. Fortunately, I have little to adapt myself since...not so much to move. My brain and behinds, probably...but not today, not today...
Exactly, not enough stake to really make a difference one way or another!
