Strategic choices

My Steem Engine wallet feels a bit like a surprise party these days. My involvement in PalNET was deliberate, I consciously invested money in it to get a nice staked portion. Because of that staked portion I got involved in the SteemLeo airdrop and got active on that platform as well. Now it seems that being involved in PalNet (and perhap SteemLeo) makes one an interesting target for other starting tribes as well.

This morning I found Good Game tokens in my Steem Engine Wallet, besides a nice portion of JAHM tokens. The first belong to the new tribe SteemAce (https://steemace.io), the second to the new tribe ReggaeSteem (https://reggaesteem.io, website seems to be inactive at the moment, though). Token name and/or tribe name are a dead give-away to the primary focus of these tribes. The first is geared towards gaming, the second towards Jamaican Reggae music.

Besides these two tribal tokens, I got a large portion of GEEK of which I have no idea why I got these and what they are good for. And one MEME, one MEEP and one SteemSpeak, for all of which I again have no idea why I got these and what I should do with them.

The goal of GG and JAHM is relatively clear: stake them and get active on the platform in question. I did this with PalNet, SteemLeo and with SportstTalkSocial. To manage the voting powers of these tokens independently from each other I created a seperate account for each of them. PalNet with my main account partitura, SteemLeo with partitura.leo, SportsTalkSocial with partitura.sports.

Three platforms is manageable. However, what should I do with SteemAce and ReggeaSteem? Again create two new accounts, in the hope I can manage to curate both platforms sensibly and intelligebly? And what if there is again an air drop of a new tribe? I am eagerly awaiting developments of the new creatives tribe @swelker101 and @isaria announced. I can't keep on branching out in different accounts for each new tribe. There are only so much platforms I can actively curate.

So it all boils down to what tribe I find the most interesting to not only invest money or tokens in, but also time, attention and creative energy. The creatives tribe seems the most interesting to me. I think I will wait till it becomes clear where and when and in what form that tribe will take shape. Until then I'll leave the GG and JAHM inactive and unstaked in my main account. Perhaps I'll create a seperate more general account for them and perhaps other tokens of general interest to me. Something like partitura.rest or something.

And now I just have to hope this is not the wrong decision...

I think there will come a lot more tribes with different topics, so I think it's time to choose the ones that fit our interests the most now and use their tokens actively.
The other tokens could be sold or hold if there is believe that the tribe will be a successful one.

In my opinion you are doing the right thing.
