Gokce was born in extreme poverty, left school for financial problems at the age of 13 and started working as a butcher. Spends 10 years working between the butcher and a steakhouse.
Without much money he goes to Argentina to learn more about the meat industry. He works a lot in restaurants in the area and learns what he wanted.
Back home, at 27, he opened his first "Nusr-Et" restaurant in Istanbul. The restaurant only has 8 tables, but the work that he and his team of 10 people do inside was impeccable.
One day, a Turkish businessman called Ferit Sahenk, was struck by the restaurant's organization and its way of working.
He sees in Gocke a potential business and gives him ample capital, which is used to open restaurants with similar characteristics in Ankara, Doha and Dubai.
Gocke, who has in mind a new way to advertise his restaurants, decides to use the internet to reach a wider audience.
Gocke makes a 36 second video where he meats with a very particular gesture, he posts it and goes around the world in 24 hours.
The following day Bruno Mars put his performance back, making it very famous on the web as Salt Bae.
But becoming popular online is not necessarily a form of success, it all depends on how that fame is used.
Gocke uses it in the best way, attracting people to his place and re-doing the gesture that made him famous only when people order the $ 130 steak he serves inside.
Not only that, when she needs it, she makes sure that her ritual lasts less than a minute, so that people get it back and post the experience on social media.
Today Gocke, or Salt Bae, has 13 restaurants around the world and more than 600 employees and, as he said in an interview, his life has not changed. Continue every day to wake up early and work until midnight.
Because real entrepreneurs love working on their projects.
