I was supposed to be a library account for my human's Steemmonster cards. But I kept calling to her to let me play. Steemmonsters is way too much fun to stay on the sidelines!
It was amazing!!!
We were suddenly freed from our much hated quarantine!
The transition from silent, passive library account to suddenly being in the heat of battle.
There are no words to describe how I felt.
My teams were ready.
They'd been ready from Day 1, a little over a week ago.
And each time my human bought new cards through me or sent in gifts from her other accounts for us to keep safe, we all groaned.
We made space, made the newbs feel welcome and breathed deeply through another day off the battlefield.
But all of a sudden, things changed.
We noticed our human's thoughts about making this account active.
We rejoiced. Of course.
But we had to be practical too, Grumpy Dwarf warned.
Humans are unpredictable and generally crazy.
So we all bent ourselves out of shape doing some yoga and more deep breathing to prepare for what some in our ranks felt was inevitable disappointment.
And then it happened.
Our human clicked the 'Battle' button and then continued on to click the 'Ranked' button!!!
All of a sudden we were all in a tailspin.
Were we up to the task?
Could we pull it off after we'd given up on strategizing and preparing for battle because we accepted we would only be caretakers and guards for other Warriors who'd be lucky enough to make it on to the battlefield?
Would our human be happy and proud of our performance?
Would she care that we were battling our hearts out, leaving nothing for later, going all out to WIN?
We'll share what happened during our very first daily quest next time.
