What's up everyone! This week, I'm not gonna shill any new platform or another ERC-20 or any other token, but a game developed in the Steem blockchain. Yes, the Steem blockchain! Heard about cryptokitties? Well, it's like that one, but better!

Yesterday while browsing around here and there, I saw @aggroed announced its alpha release. It really got me excited, since I am a gamer myself, that finally a good game is integrated in the blockchain.
The Gameplay
You'll purchase cards and get a mix of summoners and monsters. You'll arrange them in tournments to fight and win prizes and glory. You'll trade cards between players to maximize the heart of your deck and over time you'll empower your monsters with items and new abilities. As they fight they'll earn XP, level, and grow more powerful.

Think of it as the Yu-Gi-Oh of Steemit. The point of the game is to collect the cards, form a team, and win battles. I believe the meta of this game will evolve as time goes on. For now, he explained that there are two types of cards: the Summoners and the Monsters. And these cards have different rarities and elements.
Some monsters in the game, which will be used in battles
Summoners are needed to summon monsters. These Summoners will have perks for these monsters that will enhance their battling capabilities. The Monsters fight on your behalf with their key stats: Attack, Defense, Speed and Health. Participating in battles and tournaments will give them experience and level them up, improving their strengths and abilities.
A few minutes after I saw the post, I bought myself a starter pack. I had no luck in getting those elites and legendaries. But even thinking about collecting all of these cards and enhancing my deck got me on hype! Think about it, most of us play these games just for fun. Now, we have the chance to earn from it!
Tournaments, Marketplace and Gifts
In this game, you'll have the potential to earn real money! Haven't found any success in your posts? Then here's another chance for you to find success, through the initiative of @aggroed and @yabapmatt! In the future, we will have the potential to earn Steem, SBDs and high upvotes through playing. I really love how the use of the Steem blockchain is evolving. Through our witnesses and community developers, we are slowly going into mass adaption, and gaming is one way of doing so.
Having no luck in cardpacks? There's a way to get rid of your cards and trade them via the marketplace and gifting. They plan to release these in the future. This way, you can earn by your tournament winnings, or upgrade your decks to win tournaments! I believe there will always be market in these cards, specially those in higher rarities, since one would need them in leveling their monsters up by making your decks stronger.

Its Benefits for the Steem Blockchain
I believe when this goes live, this will have a great impact on the whole Steem platform. This opens up a more diverse class in the community. The gamers who have no luck in posting or streaming will have another chance to gain money just by playing. And yes, it opens up the platform into another market. I believe after this, more blockchain based games will follow. And of course, if this one opens to the masses, that will drive Steem price higher too. I believe they also plan to release a SMT exclusive for Steem Monsters.
Another is the partial removal of frustration. To be honest, most of use are here in Steem and crypto to make money and benefit from it. Thankfully there are good people that are giving us progress to achieve that. This has just opened up another opportunity for us to gain without posting any copied posts, or getting frustrated because our 1000-word essay never got any attention. I hope 1 day an MMORPG opens here on Steem.
