I am actually not a big nerd or huge fantasy fan - but today (at least today after working) was definitely mainly filled up with fantasy stuff.
One the one hand, I had to watch the last ever (never say never) episode of Game of Thrones before anybody got to spoiler me, on the other hand the long awaited Dark Energy Crystals have been released on my favorite game of the STEEM Blockchain - Splinterlands aka SteemMonsters.
The thing I like most about the DECs acutally are the new cards which will give more strategic depth and options to the game. Some cards definitely play huge roles in certain rulesets. The most dominating rule in a certain rulesets will be played by this beast in my eyes:
By giving Death the option to heal and strengthen the massive "Lord of Darkness" in the gamemode "Up, Close & Personal", "Death" will be even more impossible to beat in that ruleset. Do you think I am right here?
Fortunately, I have already drawn such a beauty from one of the brand-new packs:
And Fortuna liked me today, a gold foil epic was ready for me as well:
With the two new abilities "Triage" and "Cleanse" I can't really tell how good this card will be yet. But in general, a 3 Mana Magic Attack monster for "Water" seems quite powerful, especially in combination with three abilities at MAX level. We will see!

Repair guy will be interesting, his +2 repair per turn can block so many strong attacks. It's like divine shield against physical attacks without pierce per turn. Kinda op :)

I personally love the DEC update.. lot's of new possibilities and cards.. Had quite some luck opening the orbs so far. Good to see you also opened a few nice cards in the past days :)
