With the recent crowd funding to integrate the SEED/TRX community with Steem Monsters I really wounder what will happen to the value of my deck/cards. They are not printing more packs only new promo cards. So the value of the cards should not drop in theory but with tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of packs hitting the market all at once I can't help but to think the value of all the cards will drop like a rock at first. If you want to sell a card you will have to compete with a lot more people and undercutting. This is great for the people who want to pick up cards and upgrade there deck. Here is the silver lining I think, with a lot more people playing the demand will go up but it might just take a while 3-6 months is what I would guess. So it might be a good idea to pick up some of those cheap card that are useful and sit on them until the market washes out.
You are right... Price will maybe drop a little bit in short term, but I think that it will grow in a long term... If no new cards will be printed..
if other community's follow suite and put splinterlands on their block chain the price could really go up
Card value will definitely drop but personally I think their higher than they should be anyway. The small market is cornered by people who spent more than the average player and they inflated prices that don’t accurately reflect demand.

I don't think prices will drop all that much. There will be some excitement around the new PROMO cards so that may cause some to sell some cheaper BETA / APLHA cards to attain some extra crypto to buy some promos.
I think a price rise is just as likely depending on how many new players we pick up because if they want to be competitive they will need to hit the market to upgrade their decks.
so do you think all of the current SM players after receiving all the new packs will just upgrade their cards and or sell to the new players and it will kind of even out? I only say this because after every league ends I usually see some prices drop do to players dumping some of their cards. thanks for your thoughts.
I think most that don't need cards likely contributed SEED which gives the least amount of Boosters but the most promos. The bulk of SM players don't have maxed decks so will likely use what they need to upgrade their favorite cards and possibly sell the others. We also may see a slight price drop in booster token prices on Steem-Engine. But I'm just speculating a price decrease in cards is certainly possible.
