The Journey

Walk of Hope (Lakad ng Pag-asa) is a continuous trip. Its objective is - by walking to various parts of the nation, there is a trade of learning and culture with the youngsters, grown-ups, out of school youth, prisoners, special children and so forth. Right now, @flabbergast-art do the walk or travel and is carrying with him his Ilocano culture. With that, Walk of Hope pips will become acquainted with others natural social esteems, rediscover, be glad for one's place of source and know the materials and assets endemic to their area, making them reconnect and turn out to be remarkably Filipino.

You can read @flabbergast-art's introduction post about it here.

Presently, this venture centers around bamboo made stuffs. Along these lines, here I am, making this post how bamboo is applicable to our lives, particularly in my lovely town.

The Bamboo

Source

Bamboo is best known for its hard stems (culms) that are utilized as a part of place of wood for an assortment of utilizations, including furniture, framework, woodwinds, fence posts, flooring, and even bike outlines.

Give me a chance to demonstrate some which will enable us to acknowledge how beneficial bamboo is to our lives.

Yes, you are right! It is boat. If you have followed my blog you would know that I am a Bantayanon, resident of Bantayan island. Bantayan is just a little island composed of three (3) municipalities. Madridejos. Bantayan. Santa Fe. I am from the municipality of Madridejos.

Clearly, the primary methods for living of the Bantayanons is fishing. And that’s how essential the bamboo is to us. It helps us to create a vessel, though not all the parts of the boat is of bamboo but it’s visible enough how bamboo supports. Isn't that so? The main body of the watercraft is made of enormous trunks of trees. While those armlikes and extremely a considerable measure are of bamboo.

Not by any stretch of the imagination beyond any doubt what is it mean in English however in our dialect it is "Buhi-buhian". Meaning, it is where gotten alive fish are put. Fish are kept there alive until the point when somebody purchased. It is encompassed by net with the goal that fish won't escape from inside. Obviously, there are corals inside and even kinds of shells. Think of anything under water, and they can be kept there. Simply do exclude, whales, dolphins, or any of its like. Lol!

If you see, there is a house built in. Much the same as a few companies, it needs to have a watch house. A sharp eye needs to monitor it from the crashers.

On the off chance that you look carefully, it resembles 80% of it is made of bamboo. Am I right or … I am correct? Lol! Truly it is. The house is encompassed by bamboo tubes, making it solid and stunning. Is it accurate to say that it isn't?

Truth be told, I am extremely stunningly astounded of this work. Is it not an art?

Madridejos is known for "Home of the Bilabid/Bolinao". Indeed, it is. The photo you see above is where Bolinao are dried under the warmth of the sun. Look how wide it is. Unfortunately, when I took the chance to take a shot, it was during a Holy Week. Bantayanons are not fan of fishing during those days for the respect of the Holy Week celebration. Subsequently, no stokcs of Bolinao yet.

In the event that you see, it is made of bamboos as well. The wide place is created with bamboo tubes. All these things are made for a living in heart of Bantayanons. We regard and we adore bamboo!

Wanna live in Bantayan? Be prepared to nurture a bamboo-sense with us.
