Good Morning SteemPh!
Today I'm very excited to launch a new phase in Steemit Philippines.
These last few weeks we have seen a very quiet Steemit. Between the current price of Steem and various attributing factors, we have seen a decline in user retention all over Steemit not just in our community.
In an effort to encourage engagement, quality posts and community participation I am very pleased to announce our new SteemPh writing and curation staff.
These 7 amazing people will be in charge of writing and curating posts, focusing on 7 topics, one for each day of the week as we seek to continue our mission to build communities and enrich lives.
This will be a new "magazine style" format where each writer is in charge of their "column" with the option to curate when there are suitable posts or write when there are no suitable posts.
It is my hope that through curation, example and consistency we will begin to see an improvement in user retention and an increase in quality posts.
As of this Sunday we will begin the following curation schedule.

Please note. This is separate from each hub's curation days. The biggest difference is that we will not be curating photography posts.
Curation Changes
Previously we have had a rule regarding curating hub leads in that we don't. @SteemPh has always reserved it's wealth for the community, not it's leads.
This changes along with the new format. As of Sunday June 8 2018, all SteemPh Core consisting of SteemPh founders and all our hub leads (with the exception of myself) will now be eligible for curation.
We will also now open curation out to other Steemit communities twice a week as we seek to strengthen our connection to the greater Steemit community.
Curation Criterias
- Minimum 300 words or 3 stanzas.
- Minimum 2 pictures. Must be credited if not original.
- Must be at least 90% original content with sources clearly credited. 100% Original content preferred.
- With the exceptions of Tuesday Community Competitions & Thursday Community Outreach Day. All posts must be tagged #SteemPh to be eligible for curation.
- Posts must not be more than 4 days old.
We will be curating SteemPh wide across all the hubs and using @SteemPh.Trail to upvote suitable posts. If a post already received an upvote from the trail, it cannot receive another.
My deepest thanks and gratitude to our new writers for taking this task on and in the coming week they will all be writing an introduction about them and their plans for their column so watch out for that!
