RE: What Did You Dislike About Steemit?

Thanks and Good Luck to you too :)

The 7-day period, for me, is a double edged blade. It prompts users to come up with something to post periodically therefore increasing interactions inside the community

True. When I first started my "One Day/Post" challenge, the hardest thing was thinking of something to write about and finding someone with the same interests as mine

The 2nd point is also a nice perspective since I am seeing a lot of talk about that but this might be the first time I read this kind of opinion. It is really frustrating to work hard on something to basically earn little to none.

Thanks! Also the reason why these days most of my posts or articles are just rants or something that I can easily deliver (live stream lol). I don't want to be disappointed that much :)

if people only care about milking the platform, then steem would eventually die

I just really hoped that the changes that they speak of in the next hardfork would at least fix these issues. I don't exactly know the right numbers but it seems that almost 75% of users are just trying to game the system.

75% sounds like we're in deep trouble lol. If we'd think about it, these problems are connected, if people are only gaming the system then that is a probable reason why it is hard to find people or community that shares the same interest because majority of the users are just looking for ways to earn and can't really be bothered with making "real" interactions. This in turn leads to the problem of having disappointing payout despite the effort put by those that are really trying, especially if they see senseless posts getting huge amount. This would have adverse effect that may lead to the people who are exerting effort to eventually drop the platform altogether.
