I'd like to offer here some further reflections on the metaphysical implications of the drought in Australia.
First, read the story of The Rainmaker at My 2.2 cents*.
Then (if you like) read the Chinese Medicine approach to what the drought means on a pathological level for the country at Dragon Phoenix.
These reflective questions were part of the original email sent to me by my friend Bud Johnston in Pipestone, Minnesota. They form the basis of a workshop that someone somewhere is offering. If anyone has any further details of this workshop, please forward them on to me, and I would be more than hapy to put the details up on my sites for anyone interested.
1 Look into your soul. In what ways is your soul in drought, unnourished, unable to grow and shine in your life? Your soul seeks honest, quiet prayer, meditation and nourishing spiritual reading. How is it with you?
2 Look at your mind. In what ways is your mind in drought? How positive are your thoughts and ideas and beliefs and decisions? How are you nourishing your mind? The fertile mind loves excitement and enthusiasm and new ideas and creativity. How is this with you?
3 Look into your heart. In what ways is your heart in drought? How do you nourish your heart? How much love and esteem and honour do you have for yourself? How much for your family? For your job? How much joy, enthusiasm and laughter nourishes your heart? What are the main emotions people feel coming from you these days?
4 Look at your physical body. In what ways is your body in drought? How are you nourishing it these days? Are you aware of your body? Do you listen to its needs and wants? Do you love it and treat it well, with nutritious food, regular exercise, nourishing massages, manicures and pedicures etc? Do you get enough rest?
Enjoy the reflection....
