Payment details are default for whmcs, which is being kept for the paid web hosting that I offer as well. Like I said if people want to put a made up details it is ok as long as a valid email address is given. An email that you have access to even you make new ones just for this.
A valid email address is necessary for communication purposes unless we know each other in discord.
Payment details are also required for people who choose to buy their own domain paying with STEEM/SBD. Definitely required when paying by installment also.
