Venezuelan Beers - Regional Light - Part 4

in #steempub7 years ago (edited)

Compañia Anonima Cerveceria Regional was founded in 1929 in Maracaibo, Zulia State. Several business owners got together to brew a local product and offer it in the western part of the country. In 1992 the company was acquired by Cisneros Group and started its expansion in Venezuela.

Regional light debuted in 2000, and became the fist pale lager available in the venezuelan market, and for a while it was the most popular beer in the country, including their advertisments with La Catira Regional, a mysterious girl whose face couldn't be seen. Other styles offered by Regional are Regional Pilsen, Regional Ice, and Cerveza Zulia.

Clear golden, white head.
Hoppy aroma, typical smells of this style of venezuelan beer.
Sweet, a bit citrus, minimal bitter aftertaste, watery.
1.5/5

Regional Light is an example of a venezuelan Pale Lager, you can drink it if it's a hot sunny day, refreshing when served cold.
This is my personal opinion, not a beer expert.
