When I started posting on Steemit, I wasn’t 100% alone. I had a friend who encouraged me to join the SteemSchool on Discord. At first, I didn’t think that it would be a good idea, since I am already a decent writer.
After a day or two, I followed his advice and joined the Discord channel. I wasn’t sold on the idea of it yet, but I wanted to see what he was talking about. I stuck around, sometimes lurking in the background and eventually stepping up and giving my opinions on some things. One project that the SteemSchool is trying to do is to open up an offline school in several countries. I think this is a good goal to achieve and here’s why.
Knowledge is the most important thing to look for in life.
To devote one’s time to the enrichment of others, is what we should do. Not because it will give us worth, but because it will give the rest of the world worth.
Steemit is still a growing community of people. To give back to the rest of the world would show that steemit will be around for a long time.
