Thanks for looking Kerrislravenhill. Yes, money was real and hard to come by, in the 1938 Depression Era. Mom told me that Grandma paid for about ten kids' admission to the opening of the classic Oscar-Winning movie "Gone With The Wind." It was over 80 years ago, in 1939. Tickets were five cents each. And Grandma, a house cleaning maid, paid with about fifty old Indian Head pennies/cents she collected out of her change. Oh, and Academy Award Winning Actress Olivia de Havilland is still alive and active at 103 years old.
