After reading raybrockmans article about what type of stacker we are, i think its worth asking my fellow steemians why they stack. It definetly takes a certain mentality to endure years of manipulation. Me personally i stack because i know that the debt based fiat sytem, like all similar systems in the past, is going to collapse, probably hyperinflated away and when it does, that all the debt instruments based on that system including savings will collapse with it. My primary reason to stack was to preserve my wealth, to hold and control it. I dont want to see a catastrophic collapse like what is happening in venezuela, i would rather the old system just crawled into a corner and quietly fizzled out as it is superceded by a new decentralized system based on real money.
Anyway are you a wealth preserver or are just hoping to cash in on the end of the manipulation within the current system ?

STOPI look to retain existing value ... meaning if the shoe drops, then silver will maintain its intrinsic value. There is no "Cash In' on the manipulation. It is a hedge against hyper inflation.
Yep it would be daft to 'cash in' back into a system that is dying on its feet.
I was wondering how much energy it takes to mine/recycle silver and if that energy would be available after a 'collapse' Is the silver we see available now going to be all the silver there is going to be, given that silver producers will be driven out of buisiness, in that case silver will become rarer than gold.Given all of its industrial uses it wont take long for silver to become 'extinct' . I think silver will more than hold its intrinsic value, i suspect silver will become central to the post oil era of energy production, as more efficient conducters are required to squeeze out every % of energy produced.
