Hello Steem Silver Gold!

It's mid July and summer (at least here in the northern hemisphere) is heating up!

So what is happening with Steem Silver Gold this week?

STEEM SILVER ROUND

Voting continues to select the 2019 Steem Silver Round. There are 14 entries to choose from with Steemit members @dfinney (me), @welshstacker, @edexserverus, @themanwithnoname, @thedamus, @knowledgeseeker, @jorundon, @fat-elvis and @silverstackeruk all contributing one or more options. To vote, please visit @raybrockman's post HERE. You may vote for multiple designs. Last I checked it was a close race. If this continues I suspect we will have a voting face off before choosing the final design.

MEMBERSHIP

Newbies

This week we have one new member. Please join me in welcoming @bitcoinman to Steem Silver Gold. Thanks to @silversaver888 and @underground for the nomination and second. @bitcoinman has been sharing some lovely coins on his blog and some fancy examples of 3D printing.

The Purge

This week we are also deactivating 40 members. As mentioned in last week's post, several members had not posted nor commented about ANYTHING on Steemit for over six months. My sense is these people are done with Steemit. Each one is welcome back should their Steemit hiatus end, but for now they are off of the membership list. The revised member list appears at the end of this post, and the @myprecious follow list will be amended to reflect the membership changes.

Help the community, help yourself!

There are TWO ways to get a community supported votes here at Steem Silver Gold. One is via the @myprecious curation trail, the other is via the @ssg-community subscription bot (which is also confusingly referred to as Precious the Silver Mermaid). Here is a run down of each for our new members and a refresher for the vets.

1. Join the Steem Silver Gold curation trail - HERE

The community curation trail upvotes every member of Steem Silver Gold (unless a member requests otherwise). 24 accounts currently follow the trail. You will see the @myprecious vote appear on one of your posts each day after 14 minutes. 24 other votes are tied to that one! Thank you to everyone on the trail!

Members may also choose to delegate to @myprecious. There is no membership requirement to delegate, but it is a selfless way to support the entire community. There are currently 16 delegators to this account. @monsterjamgold and @silversaver888 are the most recent delegators. Other delegators include @bauloewe, @enginewitty, @ronaldoavelino, @tbnfl4sun, @dkid14, @silverstackeruk, @handofzara, @edthecanadian, @fat-elvis, @dfinney, @thesilverdoll, @jznsamuel, @guiltyparties and @xyzashu. 2. Join our members only upvoting bot (aka Precious) - HERE

Precious the Silver Mermaid upvoting bot (linked to the @ssg-community account) is open to all members of the #steemsilvergold community. She has well over 100k in voting SP and members can receive daily upvotes by either delegating SP are donating STEEM on a monthly basis.

If you have the funds and post regularly, the ROI on our community bot is excellent.

Is this different from ssg-community bot?

Yes.

The differences are explained in this post, but here is a quicky recap. :)

@ssg-community (also called Precious) is the paid bot with the tiers and phat upvotes that you subscribe to with liquid steem or delegation.

The @myprecious account follows all Steem Silver Gold members. You want to know who is in SSG, look at the follow list on this account. The account also votes (with a small upvote) one post per member per day. For every member. 16 people kindly delegate to this account to boost it's power at little bit. 24 people also follow the account's trail.
