Hey guys, I see what you are saying @fat-elvis and I agree that old Steemit logo is a bit out of place but I don't think moving it is the answer (or maybe it is WTF do I know) my suggestion would be to blend it in to and make it more a part of, the tree.
In my mind, it sticks out a bit much and takes away from the wonderful tree design. I do like the year being highlighted at the bottom though. @welshstacker, awesome!
