The Dodger Bubble Has Burst...

Well, my perseverance is starting to pay off. Turns out the LA Dodgers are like any other asset bubble that bursts. Statistically speaking, it was almost impossible for them to continue the pace they were setting from July through most of August. So now, it is time to pay the piper. They have finally hit a wall, and if you were to chart their performance, it would look a lot like the BITCOIN chart! (HA). Noticed how even Bitcoin pulled back into a correction before rebounding!

What goes straight up, cannot stay there forever, it must pull back eventually, and that is what happened to the Dodgers. They are currently in correction mode after getting swept by a hot AZ team both on the road and at home. OUCH. I would have preferred to have their losses more spread out over the last few weeks instead of all at once, but that is the world of chaotic sports betting. It is unpredictable. However, if I would have given up in mid August, I wouldn't be enjoying this "slump" now, which in all honesty, just brings them back into balance with all the wins they had earlier. They'll still break 100 wins. One article predicted 108 (which is 66%) - slightly higher than the typical average good team. So don't panic Dodger fans, your team is still pretty darn good, and with Kershaw on the mound tonight, you have a good chance for a W tonight. Although COL is fighting for a Wildcard spot, so we'll see. The flip side is maybe they peaked too early, and they'll struggle through the end of the season and into the playoffs... HMMMMM.

Yea Football!

Week 1 of the NFL season kicks off tonight. The line for the KC/NE game has jumped all over the place. I saw it as high as KC +10, but it has backed off to +8.5. I personally don't like NE, so I'm taking the points on KC - probably not the best reason to make a bet, but KC is not that bad. I'm also hoping that NE might have a bit of a "Super Bowl Hangover", but we'll see. Enjoy the games... its a fun time of the year.
