SteemSports: Unpaid bets situation

@steemsports has been doing a great job at distributing Steem Power using a "Vote-Bet" system.

However during the last week some problems with the "script" being used to read the vote-bets have surfaced:

It seems that because the voting script is being tested, funds from those bets were sent from @steemsports account to the @steemsportsfund account in the amount of 330 STEEM DOLLARS and 5,833 STEEM. Also at the time of writing this post another 3,799 STEEM remained on the @steemsports account.

All those funds are from unpaid bets. However allthough something with the voting script is going on that causes the need of moving funds out of the @steemsports account, new bets are being open each day (and the same script seems to be used to read those bets). This is causing the unpaid and open games list to increase each day. That list is currently the following:

Two days ago, a clarification for this situation was asked so far with no answer.

This post seeks to obtain a clarification from @steemsports regarding this situation, namely:

1) What is the problem with @steemsports voting script?

2) Why are new bets being posted if previous winning bets are not being paid instead of halting new bets until the situation is solved?

Once again, @steemsports has done a great job at distributing STEEM POWER so far, but also a public explanation of current issues is needed.

Hi @steemjustice thanks for your concern for the community. Firstly sorry we didn't see your message two days ago, we can miss messages between the game fan comments. If there are queries, the best bet is to join the steemsports chat channel in Steemit.chat and ping @thecryptodrive (that's me replying here), all the funds are safe and @furion is working with us, please see below.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if the community feels better I don't mind transferring the holding funds to another trusted party like @smooth or @nextgencrypto until our payouts are working.

We didn't halt the games because the community still likes to root for their teams and the writers had their hearts set on writing their games for pre-booked matched.

We apologise for the delay, but encourage you to continue enjoying the games.

Good work on bringing this to the surface. There may certainly be a reasonable explanation but clarification is definetly needed!

Thank you @tfeldman . Don't think there is any wrongdoing yet, but it certainly doesn't look like the best attitude to keep opening new bets if there is such a problem with the voting script that forces @steemsports to move funds out of the account instead of paying the winning bets.

Sure no problem we will be innovating on a big scale, we had some teething issues which caused us some stress, I tried doing some payments manually to try keep the payments going but it was too much, your support and understanding will go a long way to help us get back on track.
