2. James Neal gets trade to The Las Vegas Golden Knights from Nashville Predators.
Is that the loss caused this trade?
I hope not!
With the trades to the Las Vegas Golden Knights, both western conference champions, Nashville predators, and the defending Stanley Cup champions, Pittsburgh Penguins lost an impacted player.
It will be hard to replace them.
They will have a good season, but will come up just short of making the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2017-18 season.

3. Minnesota Wild trade Marco Scandella, and Jason Pominville to Buffalo Sabers for tyler Ennis, Marcus Foligno, and a draft pick
Also the Minnesota Wild / Buffalo Saber trade gave each team all around good players to help their respected teams a chance to win. With this trade Jason Pominville returns to the team he started with. He will be a big impact to the Sabers in the upcoming season.
