What is DC GENERATOR
DC generators is an acronyms of Direct Current. A generator that only generates current which flows through one direction.
BASIC COMPONENTS OF DC GENERATOR

Magnetic Field
This is a permanent magnet which generates a magnetic field through which the coil is rotated.
Armature
This generates an electric current within the armature coil..
Commutator
The commutator has the ability to transfers the current to the brushes through the wire coil.
Brushes
The brushes always maintain constant contact with the commutator, they are attached to the wires leading from the generator. Though, the commutator spins while the brushes always remain static, making sure that current is transferred from the commutator.
Shaft
Through shaft, mechanical energy can be transferred to the generator.
