So until radiation shielding technology advance further, leaving on Mars would be scaled back to only a short visit.

This got my attention
I use to think, Mars would be the next planet to sustain life after earth since its closer to planet earth. Your explanation improved my knowlege.

    Mars is very dangerous for now.... Who knows in the nearest future there would be a chance humans can stay there but now... No
