Feel free to tell me I'm just a victim of the placebo effect but I can't agree. I've spent 2 years with a totally messed up back where doctors were completely unable to find the problem, even though I could very clearly feel that something was dislocated. Since then I've become more sensitive to my body and how it functions, I can tell where blood is circulating properly and oftne I know exactly which muscles are tighter than they should be. I can also feel a very clear change in my body from acupressure and acupuncture.
Still there is only one doctor who I trust to use needles on me because as far as I can see, Chinese medicine is a nearly dead art. Most Chinese doctors are fairly reckless and I'd bet nearly half have absolutely no idea what the are doing, so it would be very hard to do an accurate scientific study on it.
So if you want to call it psuedoscience, I guess I can't argue with that, because it might not be verified through science, but I will strongly insist that it's more than just the placebo effect.
Since learning a bit from that one cool doctor, I've brought myself back to good health from being a total mess with a lacross ball and an understanding of the acupuncture points on the body, and as I said, this is something you can feel very clearly if you become sensitive to it, which most Chinese doctors are NOT.
Well, this is anecdotal which really amounts to little more than magic in the grand scheme of things. Without knowing your specific ailments I can't say, but on the surface I could just say that time healed it, placebo kept the pain away while that happened. But Yeah I'd need to actually be knowledgeable about your condition.
That being said, I've just finished the post looking into the research, which is what we should all really be looking at, not our individual experiences. Check it out if you like!
But really, if it has helped you and you have a doctor you trust, that is the important thing, as I mention towards the end of the next part:

Well, I'm not looking to convince the world that this stuff is real, I'm happy just helping people who are willing to give it a chance. Science doesn't always present a perfect view of reality as many things in life are immeasurable though I appreciate that it tries. As far as I'm concerned, life is magic, I don't really think science has the means to prove me wrong either, it hasn't yet. :-D
