Passion matters... and maybe it matters the most.
Steemit seems in a bit of a state of flux at the moment, and I've been seeing some posts on the topic "What IS this platform, anyway?" pop up.
I'm here because I love art and artistic expression... and even if it's an incredibly slow process, I hope to build something that rewards original art and creativity... an alternative to the traditional ways. And maybe all I can do right now is give a few people a 5-cent upvote, but in time, that can get better. And if we all do that for each other... it will get better.
What you've done with PAL is a shining example of how we CAN make things better in the world, a little bit at a time...
