Under the arch

Sony A6500 3 shot HDR base Image 16mm F8 1/80 ISO 160
This shot is taken standing inside the arch from a recent post which can be seen here
You can see there were plenty of arches in the wall and the Brooklyn Bridge in the background,
If you a fan of bricks there is sure plenty of them for you to see in this shot.
This is in the DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area of Brooklyn.
I now DUMBO is the Acronym of the area but I still find it an amusing name and cannot imagine myself living there, silly i know DUMBO s now quite a stylish area but I suspect if I lived there and was telling someone i lived in DUMBo I would chuckle.
Of course no offended to anyone who does live there some days I am an almost 60 year old child LOL

Like how thesun lights up the bridge brick.
Thanks it had actually lit it up to much took some tweaking to tone it down a bit :)
See. You just do the most cool stuff. I heard Alan watts talk about how artists show the world to people through their eyes and it changes their understanding and appreciation of it. That is my experience seeing your work.
WOW I am almost speechless that is such a kind comment and motivates me to keep trying to do that
Tip!
Brother thank you for the tip. But I just say what I think. I'm thinking just keep trusting what feels cool and interesting to you. Its working

You’re welcome! I’m glad you looked back too! 👌🏽
😎👍😎
That is a great creative shot @tattoodjay!
Thanks Kindly, I almost missed seeing this shot I had been walking away and looked back and saw the potential for this shot
Gotta stay in the moment... in the game. :D
thsts one thing Photography heightens in people to look around and be observant for shots
Yea which is always good to be more aware.
Absolutely 😎👍😎
Great picture. I remember a trip I took to NY and we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a mad house. So many people. All just going about their business. It was an every day thing for them, but for me it was my first time. Thanks for sharing your post!-@bozz
Thanks it does get so busy at times
That’s why I always walk itvearly morning when it is quiet
hahaha! I learnt something new today - DUMBO! loved the colors :)
#TheSteemEngine
Thanks kindly my friend
When Jay Z mentions the word DUMBO in a song about Manhattan now it all actually makes sense...never thought to question it before lol!
I did not know the song I need to check it out
Nice contrast between the red brickwork and yellow stone of Manhattan Bridge. The view in the background provides interest too.
One day I may go back. 😀
Thanks
I almost missed seeing this shot I was walking away and looked back and this shot came to me
I am kind of jealous.. we don't have buildings and structures like that here at all. just mainly farmland... and the beach is still an hour and half away on either side..
I have to admit I am fairly lucky with the city and coast fir shooting
I agree DUMBO is a funny name for this area 😂 ... Nice shot
Thanks and glad its not just me that thinks that
Definitely Brooklyn is my favorite bridge in NYC. So many details, so many things to shot out to. Congratulations @tattoodjay excellent shot!
Thanks :)
It is a pretty amazing bridge, but my favorite is the 59th Street Bridge, maybe because I always dreamed of seeing it since i first heard the Simon and Garfunkel song
I am repeating myself... But I am really impressed by your shots... Respect ;)
And I do appreciate your kind comments and support it keeps me motivated :)
But really I was never something extra motivated for visiting USA (My wife is)... But your pictures make me change my position and plan some trip soon 😎😎😎
WOW thats a huge compliment, but I better add a disclaimer, I am a pretty positive person and I think thats comes across in my photos where i try to make things look their best and most vibrant, and some may ay I make places look better than they really are
I lived in a coldesack called Struggle Boogie. Dumbo would be amusing though.
How the heck did they come up with that name 😂
LOL, I embelished slightly when I called it a coldesack. :) It was an old farm on the edge of town, across the tracks, in a very small town. The buildings that once housed critters, became apartments, small studios. That could be an entire story! They were cute and very nice and if you could find something like that in the 70's for 125.00 you were doing just fine. It was a neighborhood full of people, struggling. Ole Tex was a hell of a guy.
Lol ohh ok 😎
Country life is so different And this would make a great story
Light and shadows nice!
thanks mate cheers
This is a stunning photo in so many ways, the colours just pop out at you and the contrast of red brick shaded, concrete in bright sun and blue sky just works perfectly. Truly a pleasure to look at and enjoy.

#thealliance
You are also so supportive and your positivity is infectious 😎👍😎
They have a stunning view from that courtyard!
ohh yes the views from the yard and some of the apartments views must be amazing
That's a funny name/ acronym! Cool angle
I am glad it’s not just me that thinks that 👍😎👍
Great shot! Should have used your #bridgesoftheworld tag!
Shoot your right of course
I didn’t think of it since it was in the background
Nice pic!
Imaginary conversation:
"Where do you live?"
"Dumbo!"
"Huh?"
I don't see it going to well unless you say, "Actually I stay in a place called Dumbo." LoL.
Lmao 😂
Ohh yes that’s a funny but good point
Nice crossing point of view, did you use a polarisation filter?
Thanks
And no I really need to use polarizing filters but I need to get ones for a couple of the lenses I use most
can't imagine young kids making fun of those that lived at DUMBO, of course it has nothing to do with one's intellectual.
That bridge must be beautiful, i hope your next post will be filled with more pictures , cheers! nice to know you!
