the whale was actually double stuck.
Apparently the air compressor machine was broken, so it was still running but could not spout.
Additionally after the hardware folks took out the whole internals, somehow the internet connectivity had broken, so the whale is yet to become online again.
Software is running just fine, but the whale is currently having problems reconnecting to the interwebs :P
