Internet Privacy in the Age of Government Surveillance

The rift between the law and modern days innovation is getting more broaden. On one part of it are enormous stores of individual data kept by Internet based companies we use daily and their advanced analytical systems they use to monitize our data. On the second side are advocates of privacy scrabbling for protection against the abuse of our data within the ambit of the law by government and corporate businesses.

No matter what your views are about the debate of freedom and security, one thing is certain and this thing is the open acknowledgment of US government surveillance programs which has done a great damage on any remaining expectation of privacy online.

We don't really have a big expectation about the privacy of our activities online, most of us known that they are not 100 percent confidential. In the opening remarks of Privacy Rights Clearinghouse Director Beth Givens in a symposium about Internet privacy in 2000, she was able to identified large gaps in legal protections of sensitive personal information.

The three core problems identified by her in more than 18 years back have only become more complicated as the influence of the Internet in our lives has gotten more broader: non clear thoughts about what information is and isn't protected; absent of disclosure about how institutions make use of people's data they collect; and the unapologetic rein businesses exercises over of their customers data.

The concern about privacy is not limited to oppressive states like China and North Korea, the western nations also and other countries are ramping up mass surveillance of their citizens and foreigners with little no objection from the public. A survey by Pew Research Center reports, reveal that 91% of adults in the US admits that consumers have loss control of how their personal data is being collected and used. So, the two major threats to our privacy in the age of digitalization are the governments and companies with freemium business model. Freemium in the sense that we use their services without getting paid for them not knowing that we are doing so willing with our data.

Privacy is our fundamental human rights but this rights has been brazenly abused by the government that ought to protect us and their cronies in the business world but am happy to say that there's a light in the tunnel which is made possible with the innovative blockchain technology project called Stegos. Blockchain technology is not entirely new to the world again, it has been with us for more than a decade and it's impacts has been felt in many industries known to human civilization. Stegos is a privacy project built on blockchain protocol and it is created to give us maximum control of our privacy from government actors and corporate institutions.

With Stegos, you will be able to trade crypto, receive and send payment and chats with other making use of Stegos. All this will be possible with complete anonymity within a single app and power by STG coin.

One of the best things about Stegos is that there will not be any performance trade-off and even all the privacy benefits of Stegos, it is also more efficient, scalable and friendly to the environment.

Why Stegos

The influence of Internet revolution has brought billions of people online since the beginning of this century and it has also made possible for government agencies to spy on us and intrude into our privacy.

The emergence of blockchain innovation, end-to-end encryption and decentralized applications (DApps) provides a solution that could give us back our freedom. By eliminating centralized processes and enhancing encryption protocols, we think will be able to have full control about their money, messages and privacy.

For communications, there much improvement in protecting data — the actual content of what we send — but in reality, there are still leak of Metadata who’re you’re talking to, where, when and for how long. And through it, government agencies are able to guess an exact picture of your life and since they can't see the content of your messages, they now assume worst thing about you. This is not the way it should be and Stegos will give you back the control which will be fully secured, scalable and completely anonymous.

Conclusion

The ultimate goal of Stegos is to be the first truly mobile blockchain network that will give its users full privacy and make them to be immune against the surveillance of government agencies and other privacy intruders. Stegos goes beyond mere words, the platform is here to give you complete privacy over your transactions and messages in the age of government surveillance.

Thank you.

Core basics is that Stegos wants to bring freedom by taking away government surveillance’s. So how is that gonna take place ??

Privacy protection is very important. Is Stegos only a protection over government surveillance or other forms of privacy
