Tricks for Multiplying Numbers Between 11 and 19

Example
14 x18

Step 1
Add the largest number between the two with the rightmost digit of the other number
18 + 4 = 22

Step 2
Add zero behind the number obtained in number 1
22 -> 220

Step 3
Multiply the rightmost digit of the two numbers then add the number obtained in step 2
4 x 8 = 32
220 + 32 = 252

Multiplication Tricks with Numbers 15

Example
36 x 15

Step 1
Multiply 36 by number 10
36 x 10 = 360

Step 2
Divide the results of step 1 with 2
360/2 = 180

Step 3
Add the results in step 1 and step 2
360 + 180 = 540
