I guess I don't have much to say other than this:

Just to add to what you have said Fibres also absorb some of the gases produced by bacteria in our large intestines, thus preventing excess farting.
Quite interesting facts here

Grasses generally have higher insoluble fibre in form of cellulose and lignin

The amount of insoluble fibre in grasses generally doubles the amount in other plant families.
