This digest is the 38th episode of the #stemng digest series where we bring to you some of the best posts under the #stemng tag in the past week.
For those that do not know yet, stemng is a sub-community of steemSTEM, a community-driven project which seeks to promote well-written and informative Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics posts by Nigerians on Steemit. The project involves submitting quality STEM-related posts to the steemSTEM management for upvoting and resteeming where applicable.

As we usually do, we have sifted through the stemng tag and even though there were several good posts to choose from, below are the posts that stood out for week #38.

Well, if you think the topic by @menoski is exhaustive enough given how long it was, we will like to ask that you have a rethink as there is more from where it originated. Sleep is something we do every day unless you are a bot like @greenrun :D It is vital to the humans. However, how much do we know about it? Check this post to find out more.
Tuesday: Have you ever wondered why wind turbines have 3 blades
Ever since the Greek mathematician and inventor Heron of Alexandria built a vertical windmill around the 1st Century AD, humanity had competed to create a better, more efficient wind turbines. This post by @rharphelle looks at the various reasons most of the manufacturers of modern-day wind turbine opt for the three-blade turbine design.
Wednesday : THE GAIT SYSTEM | The Physiology of Human Locomotion
It is easy for us to identify a human from a robot simply by looking at the way they walk. The human gait is something that we have seen so many times that we probably take for granted how it works. However, @okunlolayk is here to break down the mechanism and physiology behind the scene which guides our movement.
Thursday: Zeta potentials in repellent Red blood cells and fluidity of intravascular blood
Without wasting much of anybody's time, @joelagbo went straight to the point on what makes blood clot while outside the body but remains mobile while inside. To find out how that happens, please do visit his blog post above.
Friday : The Labour Story For Expectant Mothers
The last post selected for this week is from @antigenx. It is about childbirth. An event that occurs more than 350,000 per day worldwide. A familiar story which most times we may not have the details. Well, here is the chance to correct that error.
