RE: The Electricity: Don't Hold Your Breath

in #stemng7 years ago

What a fascinating and interesting writeup this is. It reminds me of that faithful day when i almost lost my life. My elder brother who happened to be an electrician by virtue of being an EEE student could touch a necked wire and not be electrocuted. This was a puzzle to me. To cut the long story short, one day he was doing his normal thing (working on necked wire with bare hands) and mistakenly i touched him as i wanted to pick my phone from the table which was on the foot of the circuit he was working on. I received this shock that almost took my life.

Ever since then, i have been trying to understand the reason why i was the victim of the shock instead of my brother. I would like to know if there are theories or any answer you can give me as to why i received the shock.

Once again i must confess i enjoyed every part of this post and thank you for educating me. Kudos!!

Maybe he wore some shoes that offer him some degree of insulation, while you, on the other hand, may just not have much on.

Yes maybe. Thank you sir
