TBH, I don't quite see the advantage of doing so. Perhaps if most of my liquid net worth were in crypto and I wanted to convert it into equities? Even so, I would prefer the much better liquidity in the stock market instead.

I see two advantages. On one side, it's often possible to trade out of opening hours and the other is that if you have money in crypto, you don't need to oframp first. But I totally agree that normal equity markets have much better liquidities and broader options to purchase titles.
