Fourteen-years-old Molly and her cousins Daisy and Gracie were mixed-race "Aborigines mothers and white fathers"
in 1931 they were taken away from their families and sent to camp to be trained as good 'Australians'they were told to forget their language,their home .
But Molly would not forget.she and her cousins escaped and walked back to Jigalong .1500 kilometers away,following the Rabbit-proof fence north across Western Australia to their desert home .
we followed that fence,the Rabbit-proof fence,all the way home from the settlement to Jigalong long way,alright .we satay in the bush hiding there for a long time."
