Jean is a lucky man to have the two dogs protecting him and his wife. The two dogs help him avoid being killed by his wicked sister on several occasions. Finally his sister is taken care of and he is now king of France. I would say that Jean is a good man for forgiving his wicked sister who had tried to kill him without cause several times. At least now he has reclaimed his heritage and his throne.
