She wanted to achieve something great in her life and wanted to shift from Chicago to New York, because she is fond to study there and do some vagabonds there..For this she struggled much more by doing every type of jobs like she had delieved newspaper; she become a part of part time job; even she become a dish washer in a restaurant....she can't allow anyone to be hindrance in path of her destiny.
She wanted to come out of basement of his house where she was living for past 15 years, it is not just because she was an innocent girl or she become a victim of anger of her step mother, it's just because she wasn't agree to share her room with her sister , so shift her appurtenances to basement. Her badluck struck her when her foot was fractured by an accident. Her mother mock her by saying "You are not going to New York" she was very much frustrated by sarcastic attitude of peoples.
After ten days of bed rest she was able to go to college, but she was not so we'll to go to her job. She was consious about her dreams as if she was not so well so how could she manage to get out of basement and fulfill her dreams. And if it happens than people satirize her by saying "you must have to tighten screws of your mind"
Likewise others may say
"You are living in fantastical world where you are awaiting for some magic that makes you rich at once without any hardwork."
Infact she aspires that some jujuism should happen...her father is willing to pay her fees, but she refuses his offer because in that case she won't be allowed to leave this city and to go to New York. She didn't want that this time she would be emotionally blackmail by her father, as he is famed to be.
Next day she went to certain house to deliver some order where she met with Jill.
"Oh!! you have finally reached there..i am waiting for you since last 20 minutes".
Jill says while she opened the door.
She gave her pizza box, "there's your order"
She thought that now she has to wait until madam(jill) will be back with money.
"Come inside"
She didn't wanted to go inside but as her feet was not fully recovered, so finally she entered the home.
"I think readily you got a chance to serve humanity, so it's yours"
She utter these words as she gave her a rolled paper, tighten by purple ribbon. As March thinks that Jill is a magician, so she hurriedly snatch it from her hand and begins to opened it. It was a rough paper and it seems to be as old as it is from the time of Pharaoh.
"Keep it safely"
Jill said, she was thinking that if she opened it then because of some magic she at once became rich but she was very much dejected on opening this paper, she finds that it's just a paper. March demands for money for pizza delivery but Jill is not willing to give her money.
After tempting on her gestures and postures she said
"Do you think l, i am kidding."
'Yes, i think, i think you are drunk'
'No, i am not. Open you hand and put it on this paper, i used to call it "Tulip"'
After much arglebargle, she has to accept it, but she was in sorrow.
There appears to be a great thrill in story, because story is all about "Tulip" and adventures of it.
