SPIRIT OF THE PROPHET OF PROPHET SOLEH
If the Prophet Soleh calls on his people to worship only Allah. Leader in circles
his people were shocked and began to question the call of the Prophet Soleh. They said to the Prophet Soleh,
قالوا يا صالح قد كنت فينا مرجوا قبل هذا أتنهانا أن نعبد ما يعبد آباؤنا وإننا لفي شك مما تدعونا إليه مريب
That is to say: They answered by saying: "O Soleh, indeed you before this is the person who is expected in our circle (to lead us) should you forbid us from worshiping what our grandmother's grandfather worshiped? And (know) we are in a state hesitant about what you call us to him. (Hud 11:62)
The reason for not accepting the call of propagation of the Prophet Soleh was only because they were already worshiping idols that had been carried out by their hereditary descendants.
The noble nature of the Prophet Soleh is no longer a measure for Thamud to think about the truth brought by the king.
But the Prophet Soleh tried to persuade his people to think and leave worship other than Allah. Said the Prophet Soleh,
قلية قوم أرأيتم إن كنت على بينة من ربي وآتاني منه رحمة فمن ينصرني من الله إن عصيته فما تزيدونني غير تخسير
The point: Prophet Soleh said: "O my people! How do you think, if I am in truth based on real evidence (mukjzat) from my Lord and He also purifies the grace (rank of Prophet) to me as a gift rather than Him, then who will help me from punishment God if I rebuke Him? Therefore, you do not add any good to me other than harmful things. (Hud 11: 63)
The invitation of the Prophet Soleh was flatly rejected by the officials of the Thamud. They answered arrogantly,
قالوا إنما أنت من المسحرين (153)
ما أنت إلا بشر مثلنا فأت بآية إن كنت من الصادقين (154)
The point: They replied, "Surely you are only one of those who are enchanted! You are only a human like us, so bring a sign if you are from the righteous. (As Syua'ara 26: 153-154)
Allegations to the Apostles who brought the message of Allah were all almost the same, that is stupid, false, misguided, crazy, sick and bewitched. That was also what was accused by the leader of the Thamud to the Prophet Soleh.
Is the miracle requested by the leader of Thamud as proof of the Prophet Soleh a messenger of God?
