He knew something was amiss the moment he saw her leaving her room, that lurking fear he always had, came crawling out, something was definitely wrong and he wasn't going to sit here and throw up guesses which will end up leaving him as confused as ever... Watching her take in water, his suspicion aroused another notch, he prays this wasn't what he is thinking... Oh please, let it not be...!!!!
ITOHAN was feeling all sorts, even after all the reassuring words Chinedu cooed into her ears the last time they were together, now being back alone at home, the reality of her situation begins to stare at her right in the face, and her father, hmm her father's eyes has been fixed on her for days, she knew he knows somethings up, she knows through their special bond that one direct look in to her eyes, he'll know the whole story... Oh no, why didn't she think of all this, maybe she would have avoided this situation... Then she heard her father's voice call out for her... And that very stance she knew... He knew...!!!!!
ITOHAN got into his room and immediately went to her position close to his feet... He was quiet... They both were... Then ITOHAN began to cry, slowly, but deeply, her father remained quiet, so deathly quiet, she had to look up to see his face, and what she saw broke her heart... She felt like dying, she cried louder, holding his feet, in his face she saw his heart break in all pieces... She saw his tears, and like always she didn't need to go into words... He knew.., her heart sank, as she watched her idol break down before her... Oh she hated herself... Then he spoke... Quietly, but, clearly, IS HE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?... ITOHAN nodded, slowly, a deep sigh came from him... And he spoke another sentence... GET HIM HERE... NOW!!!
Chinedu was busy at home he was trying to get his mind off the present situation staring at his face, he needed more time to assimilate it all in... But he knew there wasn't any more time... He heard a knock... Oh that must be his friend, he sauntered to his door and opened it. Standing there was VICTOR... VICTOR was ITOHAN's elder cousin, who was in the army, Chinedu knew him from a distance and a little of what ITOHAN had told him... Chinedu seeing him stand there, he went chilled to the bones...
Victor looked at him, so this was the sucker his sister was falling over for, he was good looking, he gave him that, but hearing his uncle send for him, then giving him the instructions of bringing or in his words, getting him to come see him.. He knew without being told that that something was wrong... He waited as the young man got dressed... He didn't have a clue what was amiss, why his uncle sent him to this young man... But he was sure he was going to find out...!!!!!
