Aggelika remembers..
''It was winter of 2006 when my grandmother died. She was a very strange old lady and she didn't want from us to call her grandmother but Ms. Mellow which was our fathers last name. Nobody payed attention because as our father was telling us, she was a difficult personality also as a mother. She used to bake cookies and sweets but never gave us, there were for the visitors. One day our grandfather stole the key from the storage house where she has been keeping all the goodies and gave it us, so we could eat whatever we wanted. When Ms. Mellow realised what happened she had a huge fight with him and didn't speak to anyone for two weeks. She was a very rich old lady but didn't gave anything to her children or grandchildren until she died.
At her funeral, Maria my 4 years little by me sister, was then 14 years old. She took me to the room where they had Ms.Mellow body, to see how was a died person. We didn't have much emotions about her but i was a bit afraid and my sister wasn't at all. We went upon her bed and watched her face ho had no expression. I will never forget it. Then Maria grabbed her frozen hand and took of her precious ring. A ring that she was wearing all of her life. I told her to leave it, i was affraid, but she told me that Ms.Mellow can't harm us anymore 'couse she was died. We had a disagreement, but people start coming in the room and i let her done what ever she wanted, as always. We buried grandmother with all the honnors and when the will was opened, she was leting us all of her money. A big fortune with cash and apartments. Thanks to her, i never worked and i am thankful about that, but...
Two days before Maria's 18 birthday, the time to get her share of fortune, our mother saw a terrible nightmare. She was lying down at the sand, in front of the sea. There was a storm and huge waves were blending the dark blue waters. From the waves her mother in law Ms. Mellow went out and pointed at her.
"Your daughter have something that belongs to me. Something that i had all of my life and i almost got killed for that.
Something that blood run for that. Something that my mother gave me from her mother and becouse i didn't had
daughters i want it back. Return this to me and i ll rest in peace."
Our mother ran in the middle of the night and woke us up. She was afraid that something bad will happen. She was asking us if we have something from Ms.Mellow, she caught me by hands and asked me again and again. I was also so afraid that i didn't tell anything about the ring that Maria got, not either she. We were keep saying all the time no and no, but inside us we knew the truth. When she left, i told Maria to return the ring to our mother but she refused. She was laughing and told me that a nightmare cannot scared her. Two days after Marias birthday she had a terible car accident and died in the middle of the road. We didn't managed to take her to the hospital. The witness of the accident and the police told us that she simple lost the control of the car.
Nobody knows how or why.... its just happened."
Truth or lie, coincidence or not, we will never know what really happened to Maria.
She saw something unusual and lost the control or it was a freak accident.
The most horrible in the strory is that Aggelika after the accident she found in Marias bag a small jewel box. The ring was inside with a little paper which Maria was writing,
"Thank you grandmother it is time to bring you back your precious."
