Orphanhood 6

in #story6 years ago

"All you need to do is come and report to me. I am now your father, do you understand?" He had said. "Yes sir," she had replied. Cynthia had since then been faced with barefaced hatred from mother and daughter. Jennifer never played with her and Jennifer's mother took pleasure in starving her and burdening her with hard work whenever her uncle was not around .

But Cynthia never complain or reported to her uncle. She understood that her reporting to her uncle would only make matters worse; they would hate and torment her more. Now her wonderful uncle had been nice enough to enroll her into a good school with her cousin. The previous night, Jennifer had almost died of disgust. She could not imagine that her low life cousin was now in her school. She complained bitterly, only getting consolation from her mother, who sympathised with her.
