The Classic Science Fiction Podcast

If you love classic science fiction, check out HJames S. Aaron's The Classic Science Fiction Podcast Just listened to The Defenders by Philip K. Dick which first appeared in the January 1953 issue of Galaxy Science Fiction Magazine.

The Defenders is about American survivors evacuated to gigantic bunkers miles underground after nuclear war breaks out between the US and USSR.

Between that and just finishing the first season of Netflix's Space Force I'm getting a heavy hit futuristic warfare.

Hopefully that's not next up for 2020.

This is interesting. I thought it would be just another old time radio podcast of someone playing the X Minus One radio broadcast of the story and giving commentary before and after but the podcaster is reading the story from the magazine. It doesn't have the audio aesthetic of old time radio. It's more like what the Comicstorian YouTube channel does.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going to have to check this out. What did you think of Space Force? We're watching Outlander now. The eps are hit or miss for me. Some are engaging and others are like a cheap romance novel.
