RE: The Importance of Knowing What We Want

in #story9 months ago

It becomes almost like an obsession once you get started. I'm HORRIBLE with color, so much so I wonder how I'm not colorblind. Lol. Grok has been a huge help with that though. I uploaded a picture of the tile backsplash and the AI told us what color palette jives with it:

Based on the neutral gray, beige, and taupe tones of the tile, here are specific color palettes that would complement it:

Warm Earth Palette:
* Cream (#F5F1E9)
* Terracotta (#D9A68C)
* Light Brown (#A68A64)

  • Cool Modern Palette:
    • Slate Gray (#6D8299)
    • Pale Blue (#B3CDE0)
    • Soft Green (#A9B7A0)
  • Metallic Accent Palette:
    • Brushed Nickel (#D3D3D3)
    • Bronze (#CD7F32)
    • Gold (#D4AF37)
  • Bright Neutral Palette:
    • Off-White (#F8F1E9)
    • Light Gray (#D3D3D3)
    • Taupe (#B7A8A0)
      These hex codes can guide paint, decor, or grout choices for a harmonious look.

This was super helpful for picking wall colors in the kitchen because we strayed a little from what the designer recommended.

It's quite clever isn't it? If you can't do color, AI can! 🤣

For sure. It's a whole new world for us color-challenged. Lol

You kinda learn about colour though I reckon. How tones matter, how undertones matter... Like a cool grey vs a warm grey. I wasn't schooled in it but I've picked a few things up. Looking forward to doing neutrals in a new way in the new house!
