You're right! The world is difficult right now, so very difficult. All of the mis/disinformation online has left so many either stuck in silos/echo-chambers or left to navigate their lives without a compass. The size of our world and the speed of it are disorienting. I was just talking to my barber about this yesterday. He's not much older than you and has a young daughter. During our conversation I could tell he was genuinely disenchanted and fearful of the future. That was such a stark contrast to what I remember from my early 30's. There were hard times but I looked to the future with optimism. I really do feel that, as a species, we're at a very low point right now but as the saying goes it's always darkest before the dawn.
