RE: A Decade on Hive

in #story2 months ago

Thank you! Sometimes I can't even believe it. There's no reason for me not to hang on at this point. I'd love to see a renaissance take place here. For that to happen I think we'd need to simplify onboarding (QR code) and find a way to attract new users. I've made a lot of new friends in the Tesla community, they're fiercely loyal to X but I think I could convince some of them to cross-post here on Hive. If we grow the user-base the token price would theoretically take care of itself.

Yes, it is all about the user base, if we had as many users as Facebook or X the price of Hive would not be at 5 cents... More like at $15. I heard about some better onboarding tools that are in the works, but I don't think they feature QR code...

I'm glad to hear some things are in the works. It would be interesting to sponsor something like a "Hive recruitment campaign" to help grow user base where each person makes a pledge to onboard at least ten new users in a year or something like that. At the end winners could be chosen and given some kind of reward. It would be tricky because people would find a way to exploit/gamify it but it could work. I think some kind of effort like this might be the key. Maybe I'll write a post about that. We'd need to find some sponsors to provide the rewards. I'll have to let that idea ruminate for a bit. We'd probably need a dedicated team to help people who have a difficult time onboarding. I've heard a lot of people give up before they even start posting.
