I really love the style of that time period, I always have. What you say is about publishing is true. You really have to do it for the love of it if you're an indie because it's an uphill battle every step of the way. And unless you get a very generous deal from a publisher it's a similar battle only with a different set of challenges. The publishing process is intoxicating though, probably the reason it's so difficult to shake the monkey off our backs. : ) I always breathe a sigh of relief after I make back my initial investment on a book project. Thankfully that's happened for every book except the book of poetry I published last year. I nearly quit after that one but I'm glad I didn't. That must be great for you to have a spouse who was in the industry!
