Yep, the scissor doors supposedly make it easier to open them when pulled to the curb (require less room). I guess the company also studied how the elderly and disabled enter vehicles and determined these kinds of doors made it easier. I guess according to the research most ride shares are just 1 or 2 people but the Model Y (and eventually the Robovan) will be available on the network for larger parties.
