That could have been funny if I do not have a need for it. The madness started three weeks ago. Like all madness, it started in small stages before escalating to this full-blown walk-through-the-street-in-the-nude madness.

I ignored the signs of the madness, should have treated it but like all busy people, I did not have time for that. The symptoms of its insanity started in stages. First, the Bluetooth icon disappeared from its tray. Well, I have four USB ports, who needs Bluetooth. That may be true, I should have done something and not be like Papa Andrew, my neighbor.
Papa Andrew is a nice man, so is the wife, Mama Andrew. The only problem I have with them is the wife loves watching TV, maybe a little too much. Now you may be wondering if I am about to go mad just like my computer. What is the relationship between Mama Andrew's love for Nollywood movies and me having a problem with that? Hold your horses, do not be that quick to jump to conclusion.
The husband, who is a lawyer, by the way, owns four small generators popularly known as I pass my neighbor generator. That loosely translates to I am better than my neighbor, a name which it got when the owner happens to be the only person enjoying electricity in the midst of blackout which sometimes is an everyday affair here.

This electric generator is conveniently or inconveniently (depending on whose side you are viewing it from) placed under my window, downstairs. I always seem to be the sole person enjoying the exhaust fumes while Mama Andrew is laughing her fat behind off to some Nollywood movies. The noise is the reason I do not want to be like Papa Andrew. He never brings in professionals to service his generator.
Every weekend you would see him, wearing a long sleeve shirt and short working on the four generators at the same time. There is no way you would believe he is a lawyer, you would think he is a sort of I-pass-my-neighbour generator mechanic.
The sound that those little devils (sue me, I nicknamed the generators that) makes when he finishes servicing them still surprises me that I have not gone deaf.
I hated every second when the public utility is off and I am home. That means I would have to endure further gassing and the deafening sound of their little devils that work in shifts!
So after I ignored the failed Bluetooth, the PC started shutting down in the middle of use with no warning. Imagine how frustrating that could be. You had written a wonderful response which you had congratulated yourself on your Shakesperian grammar and language use, you move your cursor to click post and the system shuts down! No warning. No nothing. Words typed not saved. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Then the last straw was yesterday, I started it and it booted ok and behaved ok, you know even the violent insane have their lucid moments. I was happy, no accidental shut down, everything just ok. I logged into steemit and typed up a post. Beautiful. I typed up a post, this time I was typing in Microsoft Word and saving it. I am still afraid it would go off. It did not go off. I logged into steemit and click the post icon. It opened easily, I pasted my article and clicked send.
There is no Internet connection
Try:
Checking the network cables, modem, and router
Reconnecting to Wi-Fi
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED
That was what I got, sure enough, I glanced down on the icon for Wi-Fi and notice that it is gone. I restarted and still could not see the Wi-Fi icon. I logged into the Control Panel and navigated to Device Manager. I clicked on Network Adapters and there was no Wi-Fi driver. I downloaded one online and installed. It did not work.
I refreshed my system and the problem persisted.
I had to do a fresh reinstallation. After I have done that, Windows is now saying the activation keys I inputted is not correct.
My computer is mad.

Well, I'll be! One couldn't imagine how traumatic these things can be by reading your humorous description of it. Mine went crazy a while back. I will haven't had time to fix it. I suppose I ought to be grateful for my mobile devices. All the best.

For someone like me that teach on the computer and it is my total lifelyhood, I get totally panicked if something is wrong with my pc - strange things are also happening and I guess I must take it in, but the problem is I cannot be a day without my pc so I just pray it keeps working until the holiday - glad to hear I am not the only one with a crazy pc
I ignored the little signs, I know it's only a matter of time before it goes all out on me. I know what could cure it, just too lazy or busy as I'd like to think I am, to fix it. It's a software problem. I'm suspecting the OS was failing, maybe a lost driver or window's update. Thank you for commenting.

I think it is all part of a microsoft scam to get you to buy a new PC. They gave you an update, and broke your computer. You must not be using windows 8 or 10 or whatever is the newest operating system. I am way behind on the computer scene anymore. It used to be easy to figure out when it was time to buy a new computer. The game makers were really pushing computers to their limit, when the limit was reached, (new games no longer played on my system), It was time for a new one. Now games do not push the computer tech anymore. A three year old computer will still play the newest games.
I'm using Windows 8.1, I didn't try to update, I reinstalled same version, surprised that Microsoft is now saying my keys are not ok. I'll be using it not activated that way. Or if I care much would try and contact their customer service.

Yeah, it is not funny when you come to think of it. But it has some funny element if you could only see it from that point of view. It's all about perception. Both may be right.
