In a lowly shoddy area, the moon just gave way for the sun, some residents were still sleeping but a few early risers working in corporate offices has left to beat the traffic jam. The littering of bath water ends up in an open gutter, tells for sure some residents have used the public bathroom, whereby contributing their share to the environmental pollution of pool of water accumulated and stagnated in the gutters, which provides the democratic dispensation. Except for singing birds and the stinks from gutter all seems to be calm and well in the neighborhood that morning but not for long as neighbours were soon woken from by the usual rattling and fights from the household of Mr. and Mrs. Williams.

"I have told you, you are the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I don't want to see you here when i get back. Go to that man you were with yesterday". Said Mr. William.
"You fool just because i am married to you does that mean i should not talk with other men? Or i should see them and run away from them as if they are leapers? Mrs. William retorted.
"What business do you have with the man? What on earth were you doing driving around in his car for what purpose"? Mr. Williams exclaimed.
"Just hear yourself. As poor and wretched as you are, you act as if you are man enough to take care of your family. How would you expect me to fold my hands and wait for you to come from work when i know you will come back and tell me that there is no money. Leave me and the children in hunger, so i have to go out and look for job". Mrs. Williams queried.
"What job, prostitution? Or was that your taxi driver while you were the conductor? And you were hugging and caressing yourselves? Is that how you go out and look for your job"? "See". He pointed furiously towards her. "I have told you to leave my house now". As Mr. Williams hurled on her "I am not going anywhere". She said vehemently.
Neighbours came and tried to quell the fight. Mr Williams was sad and ashamed of the situation. He tried to avoid face to face contact with the neighbours as he gently went back in the house, avoiding multitude of people anticipating a free early morning wrestling match.
He never wanted his family to be the family must use as an example of always fighting. Neighbours felt sorry for him because they knew him to be a good man. They said among themselves, if only his wife was in anyway close to being good as he is, it would have been good for the family and the neighborhood.
Some weeks later, Mrs Williams was inside the house feeding his young child whose name is George, while Mr. Williams came out of one of the rooms and walks up to where she was and started to play with George the younger child rubs the elder child's head with his hands, the name of the older child is Markson.
"Markson"said Mr. Williams as he drew his eldest son closer to himself. "Why are looking unhappy"? Bending down this time to markson's height, telk daddy what's the matter. Mr. Williams said."?
"Daddy, i dont want to go to school today because i don't have some text books, also my notebooks are not complete, my teacher said i must come to school with the PTA money that he won't take any excuses anymore ". Mr Williams carried him on his lap as he sat on a chair. "Okay how much is your textbooks, note book and PTA money" Mr. Osaze said with a smiling face.
"My textbook is N600 (Nigerian currency), my notebooks is six, which would be approximately N480 (Nigerian currency) and the PTA money is N1000 (Nigerian currency) ". If i am correct the total money would be N2080" said Mr. Williams as he puts his hands into the pocket of his trousers and shirt to bring out money in bid to settle the school bills of his child. He brought out some money which was of lower
denominations with the bulk comprising of N5,N10,N20, and N50(Nigerian currencies). He was happy that the whole money just barely to pay the bills remaining only N15 with him.
"This is the money, please take it to school and settle the bills ". He then looked intently into Markson's eyes. "My son, i want you to go to school; it is not as if i have all the money and i am holding it back. This is all i have, and it is all i have given you. I was saving it for the house rentage, but my son have to go to school, but concerning the house rent, God will provide."
Mr. Williams was overwhelmed emotionally due to his poor financial situation. He has always wanted to be a good husband and a good father and always tried to be one but financial inability seems to be making things difficult for him. He looked at George who was being breast fed by his wife; it was obvious that they were not in a good terms.
