A half hour after leaving Salazaar, the navicomp buzzed and Jean moved her right hand up and toggled a switch. "Engaging warp engines now." With that, the dual warp engines engaged, driving the Quanah Parker up to 216 times the speed of light. They would arrive in the triangle in four weeks, then at Remfry in another week.

Now, Indy thought, this is the way to travel. This is where a starship belongs. In space, not in dry-dock. He sat there for a few minutes, luxuriating in the sensation of the speed that he only thought he could feel. Indy wasn't the only person who felt that way, every member of the bridge crew took a moment or two to watch the star field shoot by.

"Sarn, if you come across anything intriguing, mark it and we'll examine it on the way back." Indy said as he turned to the Vulcan. "Welcome to the bridge Kyle," Indy stated as he noticed the marine captain standing in front of the turbo lift with an expression of wonderment on his face. "It is beautiful, isn't it?" Indy knew what Kyle was staring at, and agreed.

After a slight hesitation, Kyle tore his gaze away from the view screen, and met Indy's eyes, "Yes sir, it is. I've never had the chance to see it for myself."

"Then I'm glad you enjoyed it. What can we do for you?" Indy inquired, changing tack.

Kyle held up his data pad, "I was wondering if I could use one of your bridge terminals to run these simulations. If we're going to fight, I need to figure out who we will be dealing with so that I can plan some tactics."

Even though Kyle's voice was calm and confident, Indy could tell that he needed something else. "Anything else?"

Kyle grinned, "If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I could use Lieutenant Wright's help."

Indy nodded, "Done, you can use the engineering console. That is, if Doctor Balok is finished."

"No problem, I can reroute this over to the auxiliary systems monitor." Fred replied, standing up. "Enjoy, here ya go." He patted Kyle on the shoulder.

"Thank you." Kyle said, taking the proffered seat and accessing the data pad. After that, he sat there for a moment, gathering his thoughts, and then he turned to Joel, "Lieutenant Wright, could you lend me hand, please."

Joel nodded and walked over to the engineering console, looked over Kyle's shoulder, and said, "It would help if you had a program running."

Kyle realized instantly that Joel was kidding. He swiveled his chair toward Joel, then looked at him. "Joel, I apologize for the way I treated Master Ericson and you. Sometimes I get a little crazy when a Star Fleet Lieutenant orders me around."

"Don't worry about it, you're only human. Now let's check out these sims." Joel said, accepting the apology, while at the same time telling him that things just happen. Within minutes, the two men were deep within the analysis of the available data.
