"That was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. I hope you don't mind, but I keep that taste in my mouth just in case I need it someday," the creature with the remote detonator said to the explorer as he pushed the device to the explorer's lips and held it there.
"I'm afraid I will need to request that you remove it," the explorer said as he tried to withdraw his arm from the creature's hand.
The creature smiled and pushed the trigger again.
"Your wish is my command," the creature said as he left the explorer's mouth and made his way to the cot in the explorer's room. The explorer quickly detected odd sounds coming from the creature, and so he made his way to the cot. He noticed that the bed was covered in an extremely dangerous substance that could cause the individual to eject themself from the spaceship in a violent manner. The explorer then realized that the creature was a highly dangerous and potentially lethal danger to the entire crew of the spaceship and that he should have executed it in the initial moments of his encounter. He then realized that whatever he did with the crew of the spaceship would be for naught, because the creature, with his teleportation abilities, would escape long before he would be able to enact his plans. He then realized that he was in over his head, and that he would need to make his escape soon and so he woke the other two people in the room.
"We're under attack from what appears to be a very aggressive and dangerous type of creature with the ability to teleport from place to place," the explorer said as he woke up both of the other two people that were in the room.
The three in the room all saw the creature that killed the explorer, and for several minutes they both tried to come up with a plan of action.
"You two stay here and guard this thing, and I'm going to do what I can to prevent it from escaping," the explorer said.
"Where will you go?" the other person asked.
"My ship is outside, and I am greatly skilled in piloting it, so I will be needing to go there to escape," the explorer said.
As they say goodbye to each other, the explorer makes his way towards the exit.
Turn--around
"Now that's a proper way to go," the explorer said just before he hopped on the spaceship and immediately started to fly the spaceship out of the room. "Being prepared for anything is crucial, and when going in space I always allow for the worst case scenario. Those were the best upgrades I ever made," he said as he turned the ship around.
He then decided that he would need to fly the spaceship back into the cave they were trying to escape out of. As he drove the spaceship back, he fired a series of shots at a specific spot in the wall of the ship. He then looked at the weapons console and saw that the ship's weaponry was not functioning.
"This seems like a good spot," the explorer said as he pushed the ship out of the cave. "I'm going to need to force the ship open since I'll need to enter a whole new work space," the explorer said as he attempted to open the ship. "I could have sworn that I locked the ship, but this is not how I usually treat the ship," the explorer said as he started to feel that the ship was becoming his jail. He then got up and placed his hand on the spaceship, and then, to his surprise, grabbed it and pulled it out of the cave in front of the creature with the detonator.
"Nice escape," the explorer said as he looked at the cave.
Turn--around
"What was that thing?" the explorer asked as he returned to his chair and hit a few buttons on the weapons console to make the weapons functional again. "It was not supposed to be here. I've seen that thing before. Somehow, I can't remember where," the explorer said as he started to perform research on the creature. "It wasn't supposed to be here."
